CHTA Insurance Program

Beginning September 1, 2008, Registered Horticultural Therapists across Canada are eligible for Professional and Commercial General Liability Insurance with a special program offered through McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers - Prime Guard. This comprehensive and competitively priced program will provide the coverage needed for all Registered Horticultural Therapists working independently and therefore not covered as a an employee of an institution.

Commercial General Liability extends coverage for bodily injury, personal injury and property damage to others for which the insured is legally liable. The coverage provides protection for non-professional liability exposures associated with serving clients.

Professional Liability covers the investigation and defense against any civil action brought against the insured including payment of all sums which insured is legally obligated to pay as a result of liability for personal injuries arising out of rendering or failure to render professional services.
